“Player Of The Week” Official Rules
The Illini Radio Group stations (MIX 94.5/WLRW, WIXY 100.3, 92.5 The Chief/WCFF, WYXY Classic 99.1, Extra 92.1, True Oldies 97.9 and Hits 99.7) - hereafter referred to as "The Illini Radio Group" - presents the “Player Of The Week” contest. From August 30 through October 25, 2013, The Illini Radio Group will conduct an online voting campaign to recognize a weekly “player of the week.” Five player candidates from various area schools will be selected randomly by station judges each week of the football season. The five players, their schools and statistics will be posted on a UPickEm voting page linked to the corresponding radio station website (www.mix945.com, www.wixy.com, www.925thechief.com, www.wyxyclassic991.com, www.extra921.com, www.979trueoldies.com or www.hits997.com). Voting for all candidates will be open from approximately 10am each Monday beginning September 2, 2013 through 7pm each Sunday during each week, with the campaign ending on October 27, 2013 at 10:00pm. Participants who wish to vote must become a registered user through the uPickem portal on station’s website. Voting will be restricted to one vote per e-mail address per day of each weekly contest (Monday through Sunday). Votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means will not be allowed and will be disqualified. The station reserves the right to disqualify the “voter” in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winning candidate. Online voters must be at least 13 years of age or older to participate. “Player of the week” candidates must be between 14 and 19 years of age and a current student player on a high school football to be eligible for inclusion. Votes will be tallied electronically through the uPickem platform and the candidate receiving the most votes will be determined to be the “player of the week.” In the event of a tie between two or more candidates, The Illini Radio Group management will declare a winner based on the candidates' game statistics. If the statistics are too close or cannot show a clear winner, all tied candidates will be declared "co-players of the week" and each will receive an award plaque. Weekly award plaques will be won 9/9 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21 and 10/28. The customized plaques have a retail value of $35.00. That individual will be presented with a custom “player of the week” plaque by or before November 20, 2013. Weekly winners will be announced on the air on The Illini Radio Group station beginning the Monday after weekly votes are tallied.
This The Illini Radio Group contest is open to all eligible Illinois residents who have not won anything from The Illini Radio Group in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Employees of The Illini Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., its subsidiaries their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the (station) main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If The Illini Radio Group cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
Illini Radio Group reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
Illini Radio Group reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of Illini Radio Group, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to Illini Radio Group the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
Illini Radio Group reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or Illini Radio Group. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and Illini Radio Group are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
Illini Radio Group reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
